EVERY MORNING, DRINK A GLASS OF HOT WATER  ON AN EMPTY STOMACH, AND HERE’S WHY!

People have usual morning rituals- others take a hot cup of tea or coffee to kick start the day. If its water, you must be taking it cold.  Ayurveda states that we should take it warm. Drinking warm water on an empty stomach after waking up is very useful to the body. It improves digestion rate and helps the body in detoxification.

Six reasons why you should consume warm water:

 Detoxifies organs for welding

A cup of hot water when you wake up cleans your body.  Water and other liquids stimulate the digestion of food and improve the digestive tract. Instead of cold water try hot water after meals and improve your digestion.
Boosts metabolism

To cure stomach aches, take a glass of warm water in the morning before eating or drinking anything.  This increases metabolism and aids the body to work well.
Eases pain

Warm water is a natural remedy that eases menstrual cramps. The heat relaxes tummy muscles and soothes the pain.  It should be noted that this works for other cramps as well.  It does so by enhancing capillary circulation and relaxing the muscles.
Weight loss

Warm water helps in weight reduction because it raises body temperature and hastens your metabolism. So, in this way, your body will burn more calories, and you’ll also have a beneficial effect on your kidneys and all excretion organs.
Improves circulation

It promotes better circulation by ridding the body of dangerous wastes and toxins.
Slows down the aging process

Premature aging is a nightmare to many people, particularly ladies.  Toxins in the body accelerate aging and as stated earlier, warm water detoxifies that body and increased elasticity of the skin.
Water is vital, as you see! I very good additional information you to know about and read is “Dehydration and signs of Dehydration”! To read more and understand what exactly is happening to your body, visit the link >>>>> Drinking Enough Water

What The Biggest Loser Study Means For The Everyday Dieter

We seem to be on a never-ending quest to conquer weight loss and find a way to maintain that weight loss for the long-term. The journal Obesity recently published a study looking at long-term weight maintenance and metabolic changes in 14 Biggest Loser participants and found that most of the participants regained a significant portion of the weight they lost.
Six years after the competition, 5 of the 14 study participants were within 1% or heavier than their pre-competition weight. Of equal importance is the fact that participants had significant declines in metabolism after the competition. Additionally, participant’s leptin levels, a hormone responsible for letting you know you’ve eaten enough, were below baseline after the contest, and never returned to normal. Essentially their bodies were fighting them to gain the weight back because of their reduced metabolism and increased hunger. This left many everyday dieters with a “what’s the point of trying?” attitude.
Sure, the study points out a lot of concerning issues, but let’s consider some of the positive things we can still do for our health and weight management. We have long said that dieting is what makes people gain weight. Dieting essentially triggers a survival response in your body because it interprets a diet as a decline in food availability. It doesn’t know you’ve withheld food on purpose. To survive, after going through a food shortage, the body overreacts with increased hunger and ability to deposit fat so it can gain back what it has lost, and sometimes more, in order to prepare for the next food shortage, or diet in this case.
If diets make us gain weight, then what should we be doing?
Focus On Sustainable Changes
Our approach to weight management has always been this – if you can’t do it for life, don’t do it to lose. Even if your metabolism does slow a little, by selecting methods of weight loss that you can stick with, you already have sustainable actions in place that will keep up with any metabolic changes. This clearly wasn’t the case for those Biggest Loser participants as We are sure having personal trainers and chefs by their side wasn’t sustainable once the show was over. I personally have lost about 20 pounds and have maintained the loss for over 10 years. However, I didn’t set out to lose weight. I focused on eating to be healthy and reversing my prediabetes. Additionally, I worked on improving my relationship with food as I used to be a chronic dieter and stress binge eater.
Basic Common Sense Nutrition
This really goes a long way. We have over-complicated healthy eating in our quest for the “perfect diet”. I like to strip things down to basics. Try to get a variety of food groups at each meal with an emphasis on protein, healthy fats like nuts/seeds, avocado and olive oil, and fiber from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Don’t over-analyze your points, macros, calories, or whatever people are counting these days. To keep your portions in check, try to start eating before you are too hungry and stop before you are full. It’s okay to fit in fun foods too. Bottom line:

Don’t over-complicate healthy eating; you’re not perfect and your diet doesn’t have to be either. Let it be easy. If you need additional coaching or support, reach out to a professional; the right one can help make the process easier.
Focus On Your Mindset
As a mindful eating coach and someone who used to have a terrible relationship with food and my figure, We know this is huge. When your mindset is “today I’m dieting so I must (fill in the blank)”, and a few days later you find yourself saying “I’m so over it today, I just don’t care, I’ll start over Monday”, then it’s time to start focusing on your relationship with food.
Going back to finding sustainable changes, even if you find healthy recipes and a fitness routine you like, your efforts can be sabotaged by stress, boredom, or celebration eating.

Then we end up in a cycle of eating, repent, repeat. Often when we are in our recent stage we are “too good”, which leaves our body feeling deprived and primed for another over-indulgence. Once you remove guilt from eating, recognise that you need to eat balanced, adequate meals throughout the day and most importantly, slow down to enjoy whatever you are eating. That’s when things become a lot easier.
Try to fully embrace the motto: “Eat right and exercise because you love your body, not because you hate it”. Once I accepted myself at my current weight, stopped actively trying to lose weight, and began focusing on my health and loving myself unconditionally, I eventually lost 20 pounds over a 2-year period. If I had still been focusing on losing, I think I would have continued to get discouraged, self-sabotage, and probably ended up gaining more weight, since dieting is what made me gain weight in the first place.
Be Realistic But Don’t Give Up
While a 100-pound sustained weight loss for someone who is morbidly obese may be possible, that goal also puts a lot of pressure on someone. Often times, when we put too much pressure on ourselves, especially if it’s something we have struggled with for years, we will subconsciously self-sabotage. Accepting yourself as you are and just making healthy choices you can feel good about will help take the pressure off. Even if you never lose as much weight as you’d like, you will feel better and be healthier because of your consistent actions. In my book, a consistently balanced but not perfect diet trumps a perfect diet that you can only follow some of the time.
The Fitness Factor
The study commented on the participants’ increase in appetite from low leptin levels as well as slower metabolic rates. I read the study top to bottom and didn’t see a mention of it, or what type of exercise the participants did in the 6 years following the show. Even without this information, I do know that regardless what your resting metabolic rate is, if you move more you will burn more calories. Exercise is a great way to burn more but so is just moving more throughout the day. If you have a sit-down job try to get up and move (stretch, take the stairs, walk, do lunges, etc.) at least 5 minutes out of every hour you are sitting. I do this myself, not with the intention of losing weight, but rather because I know it is good for my physical and mental health.
Value Sleep And Stress Reduction
Sleep and stress are two of the biggest weight and health factors that often get ignored. Poor sleep habits and high stress not only lead to poor health outcomes, they also lead to weight gain. Not to mention, most people don’t feel their best when they are sleep deprived and stressed. In many cases, I find it more important to start with improving sleep and stress management than to work on diet and exercise. If you are struggling with making the changes on your own, consider working with a dietitian-nutritionist or coach who focuses on behaviour change.
The bottom line – an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In other words, focusing on being healthy and developing a positive relationship with your figure from the beginning, will make it much easier to avoid excessive weight gain because you won’t be fighting against your body’s own survival defenses like a drop in metabolism or altered satiety hormones that can result from dieting and weight loss. Shift the focus of food from weight to health and remember – it’s important to take the time to enjoy eating.
Not on the last place, if you a person who believe in supplementation there is an excellent product out there. To learn more watch the video: >>>> BellyFatVideo  or visit the link to find out more about this product >>>> MetabolismActivator

Final thoughts - As a society, we really need to shift our prejudices towards people who are overweight or obese.
We can say first-hand that many people aren’t overweight or obese from a lack of trying, but possibly from trying too hard and ending up in the diet cycle of deprivation, followed by the body’s survival mechanisms kicking into overcompensate for the deprivation.

Start by focusing on self-love and doing healthy things for yourself because you love yourself and your body deserves to be fed healthy food.

THIS POPULAR KETCHUP DAMAGES YOUR LIVER,  METABOLISM, IMMUNE SYSTEM, NERVOUS  SYSTEM AND BRAIN!

Heinz ketchup has been banned in Israel because it is so small in tomato content that it can’t even be regarded as ketchup anymore!
For this article, the purpose is to give you 3 good reasons why you should avoid its consumption:
1.  It has no nutritional value
Heinz ketchup involves no nutrients, no vitamins, proteins, fibre, nor minerals. It has little tomato paste that contains virtually insignificant lycopene content.
In fact, it is based on GMOs, chemicals, and sugar.
2.  It contains high fructose corn syrup
This ketchup has high fructose made from GMO corn. According to doctors, its regular consumption may raise the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
A recent study also revealed that this high fructose syrup is loaded with mercury,  a toxic heavy metal that can cause severe health complications.
3- It contains sugar and distilled vinegar
Heinz Ketchup includes distilled vinegar and sugar. Actually, a tablespoon contains 4 grammes of sugar, which is pretty much.
Likewise, the distilled vinegar is made from genetically modified corn that has been treated with toxic chemicals and pesticides.
Furthermore, it has a high content of genetically modified sugar.
The consumption of too much sugar, without any other nutrients, may significantly raise the blood sugar levels, leading to pancreas and liver damage.
Note that to uphold good health and avoid various health complications, you need to avoid chemical-laden products and focus on using only GMO-free, organic foods.

DO YOU WAKE UP EVERY NIGHT AT THE SAME  TIME? THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS

The human body has internal systems and clocks that help govern the bodily functions. Traditional Chinese medicinal techniques pay close attention to energy placement and movement patterns to various areas of the body at different times.

In a 24-hour cycle, your body apportions different energies to various organs.

If you frequently wake up at the same times, it could mean that some of your energy is getting misdirected or blocked. This leads to the disruption of our natural balance and cycle.

In this case, your organs require energy to heal and function.
Here’s the list of times and the particular organs associated with them.
These blockages should primarily be viewed physically and emotionally.
You need to review what you’ve been consuming, and at what times, as they could be the cause of your symptoms.

WAKE UP TIMES AND WHAT THEY MEAN

9 PM TO 11 PM

Most people try to fall asleep around this time. This is when the endocrine system rebalances, and enzymes get replenished.
The endocrine system regulates the metabolism and hormones. If you experience difficulty falling asleep at this time, you are probably stuck in a fight or flight mode.

Your mind is still engaged with the events of the day or already getting set for the next day’s challenges.

Recite positive mantras and release the formations responsible for your tension.
Eating unhealthily or too late in the day can also cause blockages.

11 PM TO 1 AM

Waking at this time, consistently, may be a result of resentments you carry. It is at this period that yin energy is transformed into yang.
Yang energy is extremely active, and your body should store it for the following day. Enhance self-love and appreciation and strive to stay relaxed and conserve energy.

Likewise, this is when the gallbladder is breaking fats down. You may be getting excess unhealthy fats or oils.

1 AM TO 3 AM

This is a critical time for detoxication and the renewal process of the body. The liver is breaking down and eliminating toxins while generating fresh blood.

If you wake during this time, it could be a sign of frustration, anger, and negative formation. If you’re not working on these spiritual toxins, then your mental ‘liver’ is alerting you to take action.

  3 AM TO 5 AM

During this time, the lungs are being repaired and are bringing in more oxygen to your body. You should be warm enough to help promote bodily functions. It’s also worth noting that lung complications are usually related to sadness and grief.

If you often wake at this time, you should try breathing exercises. Waking during this period could also be indicative of ascension – the process of increasing your vibrational levels from their normal level. It is attributed to getting into a more enlightened spiritual state.

There are other signs such as lucid dreaming, changes in appetite, sensitivity to strange sounds, and feeling cold for long periods.

5 AM TO 7 AM

This is the time when all toxins produced and broken down earlier in the night are being eliminated from the system.
Your large intestine is active during this time. You should avoid eating unhealthy diet or too late, to prevent issues that will lead to your waking up at this time.

                                                                                                                                                                    source: WakingUp

What Are The Health Benefits Of Kombucha Tea?

Kombucha is believed to have miraculous healing properties. It's traditionally a home-brewed tea, but commercial productions are increasingly popular today. It can help improve disorders such as gastric ulceration, cancer, and heart and liver disease. It can also boost energy and immunity and help fight obesity. However, research recommends caution in consuming kombucha as rare side effects have been reported.
Tea, Tonic, or magical elixir? To those who extol kombucha’s full range of health benefits, this fermented black tea is all of this and more.
Though it’s often referred to as the “magic mushroom,” it’s actually not a mushroom at all. Kombucha is a combination of yeasts and bacteria. The pancake-like structure is seen floating on the medium (known as a SCOBY, Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast) is just a network of cellulose.
Kombucha is believed to have originated in the 3rd century BC in China. Centuries later, it traveled westward to Russia and Europe. Over time, the beverage has acquired a near-mythical reputation for its therapeutic properties.

Kombucha’s Legendary Health Benefits
We’ve learned about the traditional claims on kombucha’s benefits, with its active molecules and antioxidants. But what do scientists have to say about it? Given here are some of the kombucha’s benefits found through recent studies:

1. Protects And Powers The Body
In 2013, researchers at the University of Latvia published an overview of the multiple benefits of drinking kombucha. They found that the tea helped detoxify, boost energy levels, and improve immunity and contained protective antioxidants.

2. Provides Antioxidants
The antioxidants in kombucha prevent several metabolic diseases and disorders – in the eyes, skin, lungs, kidneys, joints, brain, and immune system. This can be attributed to the presence of tea polyphenols, D-saccharic acid-1,4-lactone (DSL), and ascorbic acid. DSL, which is present in many edible plants, is known for its antioxidant and detoxifying properties.

Studies also show that kombucha tea has higher antioxidant activity than unfermented tea. This could be because of the fermentation process and the subsequent changes in the tea polyphenols.

A longer fermentation process can increase antioxidant activity. But prolonged fermentation is not advisable as the organic acids produced may reach harmful levels. More study is required to identify the exact metabolic pathway involved during fermentation.

3. Fights Urinal Tract Infections
Kombucha tea may help combat urinary tract infections (UTI) commonly found in women. A study observed that fermented green tea is especially effective in battling microbes that cause these diseases.

Kombucha’s antimicrobial activity can be attributed to the organic acids, primarily acetic acid, catechins (an antioxidant and flavonoid), and significant protein content. Catechins and acetic acid are known to inhibit several microorganisms.

4. Boosts Immunity
Rich in vitamin C, kombucha helps boost the body’s immune system. Studies have observed that kombucha decreases oxidative stress and the resulting adverse effects on the immune system.

5. Fights Cancer
Kombucha tea drinkers have talked about the anticancer properties for years, but science is only now catching up.
The anticancer properties of kombucha are attributed to the tea polyphenols and the products formed during fermentation. However, extensive research is needed for further proof.

Studies show that kombucha can prevent the spread of cancer by inhibiting the growth of new blood vessels.

6. Prevents Gastric Ulcers
Animal studies show that kombucha has healing properties against gastric ulceration. It protects the mucin content of gastric tissues and reduces gastric acid secretion.

7. Fights Liver Disease
Kombucha tea helps combat liver diseases caused by various environmental pollutants including oxidative stress. This can be attributed, once again, to the presence of DSL and the aglucon Acetobacter species of bacteria.

8. Promotes Digestion
Studies show that the tea stimulates contractions of the stomach and intestines and therefore improves digestion. The antioxidants also protect the stomach lining and reduce the chances of gastric ulcers.

9. Cleans Up Bad Cholesterol
In animal studies, microorganisms present in kombucha tea were found to reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or “bad” cholesterol.

10. Regulates Metabolism
Although no direct evidence supports kombucha’s ability to reduce obesity, research suggests that regular intake of the tea can help eliminate the extra pounds by balancing metabolism and lessen the accumulation of fat in the long term.

This, in turn, also inhibits the risk of hypertension and type 2 diabetes.
How To Brew Kombucha
Ingredients
·       8 g of black tea (about 2 tsp)
·       9.5 cups of water
·       Sugar to taste
·       SCOBY
·       A cup of fermented tea from an older batch of kombucha

Method
1  Boil 1.5 cups of water with black tea leaves for about 5 minutes.
Filter the tea and leave it to cool until it reaches room temperature.
Pour the tea into a clean, wide-mouthed glass container and add the remaining water and sugar.

4  Place the SCOBY – it looks like a white, damp, pancake – in the tea solution and adds the older fermented tea.
Cover the container with a cheesecloth and allow it to ferment for 7–10 days. During this period, the culture will grow a new mushroom-shaped layer.
The tea, orange-gold in color and slightly sour, is now ready.
You can carefully remove the SCOBY (along with half a cup of liquid), pour the tea into glass bottles, and store in the refrigerator. Keep the culture immersed in its liquid and use it to prepare a fresh batch of tea when needed.
Kombucha aficionados like to experiment with different add-on flavors, including fruit and spices, in a process that involves a second round of fermentation for a couple of days after the SCOBY is taken out.

How Much Is Too Much?
There’s no established limit for kombucha consumption. You can stick to about 125 ml (a half cup) at a time since most adverse effects have been observed after consumption exceeded this limit. However, do note that such a small amount is unlikely to bring about the experimental benefits found in various studies.

A sensible approach would be to check with your physician to determine any existing health conditions that kombucha tea could possibly impact.

Word of caution: Kombucha should not be consumed by pregnant or lactating women.

Can Drink Kombucha Harm You?
Although research has validated some of the traditional claims, we can’t quite call kombucha a magical cure-all. It’s important to note that the biological activities of kombucha have largely been tested only in animal trials. More in-depth, extensive human trials will help us get a better understanding of its real power.

Occasionally, instances of harmful effects have been reported. In one study, a few patients experienced a variety of side effects of the tea – including allergic reactions, vomiting, headache, and nausea.

However, it’s not so much the ingredients of kombucha as other external factors that can potentially harm a drinker; for example, the type of container used to store the tea. Ceramic, lead crystal, or painted bottles, for instance, run the risk of leaching lead and other toxic substances into the tea solution due to the acid content in kombucha.

A fact sheet published by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1995 raised concerns about the likelihood of fungal contamination as a result of the unorthodox fermentation method adopted in making and storing the tea. They warn that such contamination could severely impact individuals with weak immune systems.

Alternatively, commercially prepared kombucha is brewed in strictly hygienic conditions and subject to inspections by regulatory bodies. This may be a safer way to enjoy a cup of the sweet, vinegary beverage.
