Do you know what is common between all of us? What is the vital component for every living creature – That`s WATER! Water is crucial for maintaining balance, and the individual requirement of water may vary depending on their dominant doshas (the energies that make up every person, which perform different physiological functions in the body). The water requirement can also vary considerably from day to day depending on some factors, such as the weather conditions and activity level. What is dehydration?
Dehydration occurs when your body loses more fluid than it gets. Our body continuously loses water throughout the day through urine and sweat glands. Our body is also provided with mechanisms that notify us if our body is in need of water. If the loss of water is not substituted by new intake, the whole organism goes out of balance.

Signs of dehydration include:

  • Dry mouth.
  • Excessive thirst.
  • Fatigue and mood swings.
  • Headache.
  • Confusion.
  • Constant hunger, in spite eating recently.
  • Back or joint aches.
  • Dull, dry skin, pronounced wrinkles.
  • Infrequent urination: The colour of your urine is an important marker; if your urine is dark and concentrated it might be a sign of dehydration.
