How to make Peppermint Oil? It Will Help You Stop Eating Junk Food and Instead Burn Calories

Refined sugar is extremely addictive. As noted by Professor Nobel of Princeton University “sugar stimulates receptors to activate the same pathways that are stimulated directly by drugs such as heroin or morphine.”  In a 2010 study, the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs stated that ‘Sugar Addiction” follows the same pathways in the brain that a habit-forming drug does.

Just like with any other addiction, sugar addiction is an extremely difficult habit to break, particularly in cases when the body and digestive tract become overwhelmed with parasites, candida, yeast, and sugar-loving bacteria.  To curb the cravings and break this cycle, one needs to undergo an actual detox process in order to wean off.  The good news is that studies have shown that using natural approach, such as using peppermint essential oil, can help beat sugar addiction.

Alan Hirsch MD, did an extensive study in which he investigated peppermint`s effect on brain`s satiety center, that stimulates a sensation of fullness after a meal. He concluded that inhaling peppermint directly affects the satiety center, the ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint is a cross between spearmint and watermint, which means that it`s a hybrid mint.  While native to Middle East and Europe, peppermint is now widely grown in many regions worldwide.
Peppermint oil is one of the best-selling favorites among essential oils, and for a very good reason. It has been found to provide a wide plethora of therapeutic benefits, such as relieving indigestion and improving the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, offering respiratory benefits like decreasing tuberculosis-induced inflammation, clearing up phlegm, and preventing asthma, addressing pain of all kinds, easing herpes infections, managing stress and treating nervous disorders, and many more.

How to Use Peppermint Essential Oil

You can either use a diffuser to inhale the aroma as cravings come on or apply the oil to the feet.
  1. Apply a few drops with a carrier on abdomen and temples
  2. Directly diffuse or inhale
  3. Mix two drops of peppermint essential oil with two drops of coconut oil, and apply the mixture inside the center of your wrists

Instructions:
Crush or chop the previously washed peppermint leaves, and put them in a jar along with the carrier oil.  Seal the jar and wait 24 hours.  Strain the oil, add more of the ingredients, and reseal.  Repeat the process for 5 days, remove the leaves, and transfer the oil in another container. Store it in cool place.
